Bottle split with Muenster. Pours black with some ruby tints. Head is a little small and tan. The aroma is hugely chewy and roasty. Lots of toasted notes up front, coffee, chocolate, toffee. Slightly ashy with a great earthiness in the flavor. Mouthfeel is right on. Actually, it dries out with a nutty finish. I like that. It’s a little grainy in the flavor, but still really good. The heavy roasted character and dark fruit sweetness pull everything together. I’m picking up some brown sugar, twigs, and a thin sourness. Very solid.

50cl bottle from KIngdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Aroma is dark malt, ripe dark fruit, coffee, dark chocolate, molasses. Flavor is dark chocolate, toffee, coffee, heavy malt, sugar. Medium to heavy-bodied with a lingering chocolate-coffee finish. Nice porter.

Bottle. Poured a black body with decent size head. Aroma is of chocolate, roasted malt, and a small amount of hops. Flavor is smooth and creamy. Taste of sweet and bitter chocolate, malt, and a small amount of coffee. Gets better as it warms - first taste wasn’t that impressive but found myself loving it halfway through.

Bottled. Opaque, brown head. Roasted malts in aroma, some chocolate and coffee. Bitter flavour with some sweetness, coffee notes become more obvious. Lasting bitter finish. Creamy texture. Alcohol remains unnoticed. Nice beer, but more easy drinking than obviously complex.

Bottle from LS tasted on St Patty’s at Tom’s house. This, like the nogne impy, was a little bit different, bit a very refreshing change. roasted malts, chocolate, and generic fruits highlight the flavore with smooth bready notes and very mild hop flavor in the finish.

Bottle (batch no.262) shared with ozujsko, received in a trade with oh6gdx.
Opaque black colour, cappuclino like tan head that went away slowly. The nose is almost all chicory with a hint of chocolate, and the taste isn’t far off; strong chicory, a weak note of chocolate, a touch of alcohol. Not extremely complex but still a nice porter.

(on bottle)This a porter; it has ROAST written all over. Coffee, burnt cane sugar, wood, smoke, english liquorice, Nordsøolie and malt; that´s it. Great brew; thx. Sigmund.

Bottle. First thing is that as I pop the cap there is a fizzy whoosh, but then nothing good or bad really comes of it... flavor is fine, floor isn’t covered in foam, nothing. Anyhow, pour is a dark brown with only about a half inch of head... in spite of the aforementioned sound. Aromas are light chocolate and dark fruit, but fairly faint. Flavor is heavily cocoa with some dark malt. That said, things don’t fully blossom as it is kind of unidimensiona.
