Aroma is chocolate, coffee and some roasted malts. Flavor is more of the same, but skewed a bit more towards the coffee and roast rather than the chocolate. A little on the thin side, but easy drinking and enjoyable. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 17, 2007 This was very similar to Olfabrikken Porter just a little less intense. I liked this beer more, but would much prefer something like Baltika Porter or Okocim Porter to this one. Still a good beer though and one to try. jredmond (1068), New Jersey, USA

Aroma is nice roasty characteristics and chocolate. The taste roatsy and bitter - not as delicious as the aroma suggests. obguthr (1067), Poquoson, Virginia, USA

App.: Deep brown black with a large, somewhat rocky light mocha head.
Aroma: Lots of tangy black coffee, dark chocolate and molasses, vinous, slightly woody, very dark dried fruits, some sour cherries, black licorice.
Palate: Medium+ body, fairly lively effervescence.
Flav.: Just like the nose – tangy black coffee and dark chocolate, a touch metallic, fruity and vinous, definite black licorice, thick and oily tasting; dry with slight tang and good bitterness with leftover roasted malts.
Pretty big for a Porter! papajohn (1055), San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 28, 2007 Black pour, small almond head that stays the whole time. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and a touch of raisens. Flavor is a sweet mollases powered by roasted malts and dark chocolate. This beer needs to warm. More sugary sweetness comes out as it warms with dark fruits as well. More smokiness in the aftertaste that really lingers. The coffee stays throughout as does the chocolate with sugary sweetness and smokiness in the finish. Good but not great. fishingnet (1047), Brandon, Florida, USA

Great aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Taste is of delicious coffee and bitter sweet chocolate. This beer could be substituted for your morning cup of Joe. The alcohol is very well hidden. This beer is dangerous.
