Bottles from oh6gdx, Liquid Solutions. Pours dark brown with a thin ring of bubbles. Smells of caramel, fruit, some tea and pepper. Tastes of sweet chocolate, caramel, some bitter chocolate and spices. Palate is full and syruppy. Finish is sweet and lasting.

Bottled @ sk8vikings blind porter/stout tasting Beer no. 2. Dark brown coloured. Dense light brown head. Sweet and buttery aroma. Some light cocoa notes. Flavour is roasted, coffeeish and has cocoanotes. Seems a little unbalanced to me. Is medium bodied but with light watery accents. Is roasty and bitter in the end. Original rate: (8-4-8-4-16) Bottled: Dark brown coloured. Brownish medium sized head. Lasting. Chocolate, spices, malt, fruitnotes and coffee in the aroma. Flavour is smooth. Chocolate, light coffee and roast notes, hops, fruits and some spices. Is light bitter in the end. Well balanced porter

Bottled. Dark brown, almost black, with a medium sized tan head. Roasted aroma with coffee, chokolate and a littled fruitiness. Roasted coffee flavor with some chocolate. Quite dry, roasted finish, yet with some fruityness. Definately not to be rated at fridge-temperature. Rating: 7-4-7-4-14-3.6. (060103)

Bottle. It pours a next to black body, quite clear, with a tan head of moderate size. Chocolate, coffee and roasted malts in the aroma. Coffee being the most evident. There’s some hoppy aromas in the far back, giving a slight touch of citrus-peel. Full-bodied, mellow and nicely carbonated. Dry on the palate, yet with a sweetish, chocolatey flavor. Coffee, heavily roasted malts, citrusy notes and some alcohol too. In the far back there’s some licorice and dried fruits. The finish is shared masterly between hoppy bitterness and bitterness like that found in coffee. Medium duration, but the base flavor of the beer rests in the mouth for a long time. The alcohol is also blending in. Considering it’s 7% ABV, it slides down dangerously easy. Lovely with some chocolate. (090216)

Dark brown to almost black body with a creamy light brown head. Nice aroma of charred and smoked malt and peat. Creamy texture, low but proper carbonation for the body, and with a light milk and cream flavor surrounding the more dominate chocolate flavored malts. Low hop presence which is always appreciated in porter. Rich and delicious.

This has an intensely dark brown body with a thick ’n’ creamy tan head. The aroma is filled with coffee and bittersweet chocolate while having undertones of dark fruits. Roasted barley blends in with the chocolate and coffee in the flavor while a nutty bitterness grows in potency. Well crafted and tasty.

Very dark brown color with a small lid of light tan bubbles. Small rings of lace help the looks. Fairly simple porter aromas. Toasted and roasted malt along with some dark chocolate. Hints of mocha lay underneath. A nice scent, but nothing more that what one should expect. Rich full feel. Again simple porter flavors, but the fact that nothing is amiss is a big bonus. Toasted malt mix with a light malt bitterness. Sweetness is heavy in the middle and actually lasts to the finish. Linger is dry with the black malt bitterness and a mild espresso bite. Well put together porter.

Bottle: Black, oily tan head, light lacing. The nose is sweet with licorice and roast, nice chocolate and coffee, bitter cocoa and hops, light alcohol. The flavor has a big nice body with tasty roasted notes and fruity alcohol. Super roasty, typical of this brewery, which is nice to see.
