| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 7, 2007 Opaque black with nice brown head. Toasted chocolate, rubber aromas persist as well as delicious roasted coffee scents. A lighter hoppier porter than expected, with touches of drying hops and floral, piney flavors. A very well balanced brew with several complex layers. Worth a try. danielcurtis81 (905), San Diego, California, USA

Very nice pour - a big tan head comes billowing up from the black liquid. A rich, sweet aroma with a bit of yeast and cheese. Flavor is dry and fresh: some coffee, smoke, and tart and bitter hops. There is something a little unusual too, like spruce or juniper or coriander. Maybe it is just the Norwegian water (which I bet is excellent). A very good dry porter. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 17, 2007 Pours totally cloudy black with lacing, nice looks. Sublime nose of well-constructed sweet malts and baked dried fruits. Some alcohol detectable and adds warmth. Super mouthfeel. Tastes a lot like an imperial stout and is quite roasty. f351c4v (408), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 24, 2007 Pours a deep black color with a minimal tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolates, and licorice. Silky body, very smooth. Great bittersweet chocolate presence. Fresh coffee roast on the finish, quite dry. More of a stout than a porter, in my eyes, but great nonetheless.
