Nice chocolatey aroma, sweet, soft palate with some burned undertones. Quality chocolate taste and maybe a smoked touch.

Black colored, medium sized beige head. Aroma has sweetness, plums, chocolate and some roastiness, mild alcohol also there. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is richer than aroma: chocolate dominates, roastiness, coffee, sweetness and medium alcohol. Aftertaste dries to have bitter and alcoholic touch, hops there with slight chocolate. Good flavored, slightly too thin aromated porter.

50 cl bottle from LS - Pours a dark brown color with a one and a half finger thick light tan head. Light lacing. Has a roasted malt aroma. Flavor is also roasted malt with some coffee and chocolate to boot. Has a slightly bitter aftertaste. Full body. Very nice beer.

Courtesy of MrWalker <P> Very nice roasted malt and chocolate aroma but has a bit of a nose tingling sharpness to the aroma that I can’t pin down. Dark brown to black body with a slowly diminshing thumb thick mocha head. Fore is slightly smokey and segues into stale coffee and chocolate. Nice roasty bitterness in the middle and finish. Doesn’t quite have enough freshness to the chocolate malt asspect to it, but still a pretty spot on Porter. Some mild nuttiness in the far aftertaste reminds me of a brown ale.

Biggish brown head. Nearly opaque dark brown body. Roasty coffeeish aroma with hoppy oily rye notes. Dry-sweetish taste, with an acidic edge, of burnt sooty rye with vaguely citric hop notes. Very harmonic and balanced. Full-bodied. Soft mouthfeel. Dry delicate burnt aftertaste with grainy chocolatey notes. Burnt notes linger. Very, very good and highly drinkable. Grew on me as I drank. (0.5l bottle, Wine monopoly, Oslo.)

Black, not to big head, smells like a cold cup of mocca. Bitter start, very complex mixture of bitter mint chocolate and licorice. You can very easily add different kinds of chocolate, licorice and sweet desserts to this. Another powerpack of complex taste from NØ.
