Dark pitch black color, with a tan colored head, roasted malt, black coffee nose with a dark chocolatey, roasted coffee bean accent, with a mild molasses, burnt dried dark fruity note of raisins, dates and plums, and a faint licorice spicy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, molasses, roasted malt, dark chocolate character, with a black coffee, faint mochaish flavor, with a hint of licorice spiciness and burnt fruitiness leading towards a fruity, chocolatey, lingering roasted bitterness finish.

Nice pitch black with a huge head. The aroma has notes of bitter chocolate and coffee. The flavour has notes of malt, licorice, port wine, coffee and bitter chocolate. A truly nice and powerful porter!

Dark brown body with light ruby highlights, and a large creamy tan head. Chocolate and roasted malt aroma with some caramel hints. Big roasted malt flavor with chocolate notes and more faint caramel and light molassas and a reasonable bitter finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a smooth chocolately finish.

Bottle via trade with pantanap - Thanks Kan! - Pours black with a nice creamy tan head that stays pretty well and laces some. Aromas of coffee, slight chocolate, caramel, and a good amount of roast. Flavor is roasty mostly with some good coffee and chocolate notes. A good amount of caramel there too and a touch of liccorice. Good smooth well carbonated creamy palate that I thought had a nice pleasant mouthfeel. Pretty nice porter overall and I do believe this is also my first Norwegian brew..

Bottle (500ml). Poured oily opaque black with slight reddish highlights and a solid, lasting light brown head. Oddly sweet and floral hop aroma, very light milk chocolate malt, a little coffee character. Lovely smooth chocolate roast malt taste, lactic and lightly nutty, mild floral hop and alcohol bitterness in the finish. Silky mouthfeel, very nicely carbonated, with gentle lactic acidity in the fairly short finish. Very nice, somewhat more warming than many porters, easy to drink

Bottle. Black in color, medium thick brown bubbly head. Moderate nutty and roasty aroma, mild chocolate background notes. Taste is a mix of roast and chocolate, light coffee, the roast is on the sweeter side. Well balanced and quality.
