Feb 8, 2009 [Sampled with the trio: Svoger, Svogergylp and Adenila Foged at EBF, 2008.] Although it is long time I’ve tasted this I remember some great smoothness all over. Good coffeechocs, sweetness and roasted malt. very pleasant and the best word describing this brew is: Soft!

Feb 26, 2008 Extremely well crafted brew. Not a very strong aroma but taste hints of chocolate, berries, roasted nuts with a slight carbonation. Not of the flavors are right up front and very balanced. No Alcohol in sight here. Very good. Looking forward to the Nogne Imperial Stout.

Aug 16, 2005 Black redish colour, tan head. Dark chocolate, coffee nose. Malty chocolate flavour with some caramel notes. Slightly acidic finish. Really tasty.

May 26, 2005 Cask at DBF2005. A tasty, nice roasted and surprisingly fresh porter. I have tried this from the bottle several times, but from cask this is much more fruity. Sweet malty aroma with a touch of coffee, chocolate and some liquorice. One of my favourite porters.

May 23, 2007 Bottled. Poured a clear, deep mahogany with garnet highlights and a creamy cap of dark-ish toffee head... I would have given it a "5" for the initial look.. but a quick recession lost a point. Even before this had a chance to breathe, I could tell that the aroma was fantastic!... dark and calculated deeply-roasted chocolate, singed molasses, and ample doses of fresh, medium-roasted coffee.. just drew me right in! Flavor doesn’t really skip a step.. well-roasted cocoa, semi-sweet, chocolate, and light espresso form a wonderful base that supports coffee bitterness along with some herbal and woodsy notes.. left a long finish with dueling sweet chocolate and coffee bitterness.. along with some random lactic notes. Just a bit heavier than medium-bodied with great flow and balance.. long and enjoyable finish. This was magnificent!

Jul 15, 2009 500ml bottle. Pours a near-black color with a relatively small tan head. Allowed to warm up slightly before consuming (not to 50, but closer), as consumed additional aroma and flavor stood out more. Aroma of sweet chocolates, lightly roasted malts, touch of coffee. Flavor is a bold, dark and milk chocolate with light malts flavor, with notes of coffee hidden in the rear. Finish is a Bitter finish, dark chocolates. A really wonderful beer, with a relatively low alcohol content for easy consumption.

Sep 3, 2007 bottle - Pours black with a nice tan head. There’s a rich, chocolaty roast malt aroma. The flavor has elements of chocolate and coffee vying with the dark roast malt. Creamy, full bodied, and smooth, there’s a touch of bitterness in the finish. This is an excellent porter. thanks to bdigi66 for sharing this gem.

Black body, Lots of casade and sweet dark chocolate. full body, Long finsih.
I re rated this now, when I drink this Porter in Norway.I Thin the Flavor is more caracterritic, and more tasty then ever. A werry nice Porter!!
