[876-20071201] 1pt0.9floz (Xmas Party 2007, beerhugger & guests). Burnt oaky malt grassy aroma has strange hops. Cloudy, pale orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Bitter citrus flavour has some woody lemon lime pip notes. Medium body. Interesting.

Aromas are light, but complex. Biscuit and citrus. Color is hazy, golden, orange. Head is white but flat. Body is medium, and the carbonation is moderate, but spiky. The flavor starts astringently dry, with citrus, light stone fruits, and something woody. It’s the saison of saisons, if Norway can qualify. It is really to style, and it is really quite tasty.

Nice hazy gold look with a relatively small head. Aroma is a bit grainy, dominated by sharp citrus and spice. Taste was a bit tart and very citrusy. Lots of graininess and a bit of yeast taste. No real funk or typical saison thing going on here, more like a Hefeweizen thats a bit off. Not all that impressive for an $8 beer.

Pours a hazy straw yellow with creamy white head. Flavors of grain, bread, light fruit, citrus, and overall was very sweet. Not as much funk and lemon zest in the saison as I expected. Its alright, just not that good compared to other saisons.. to sweet.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow body with a white wispy head. Aroma of light fruits - apples and pineapples, mostly along with some faint yeast cheesiness and bread. Refreshing palate with adequate carbonation and crisp cereal/biscuity flavours and some lemony citrus spiciness to follow.
Tasted in December 2007.

Pours a cloudy golden color with white head. Has typical hints of belgian yeast, light fruit, funkiness, and slight hop presence. finished with a bubbly sweet fruit taste. Average saison.
