Tastes slightly resiny with some nice citrus hints and a pilsnery malt backbone. Mouthfeel is full with a finish that is sweet and chewy. Rastacouere (5564), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Comments: A gorgeous Saison with an exquisite firm, natural and yet crisp palate. Expertly extracted pils malts, bright and lively Dupont-like hops that I assume to be EK Goldings. Beautiful, authentic yeast and a most balanced attenuation level, leaving an ample body and yet a gradually drying out finale. Complex, unspiced and remarkable. I think it’s my favourite from the brewery. Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 16, 2007 Thanks for sharing this one Alex (sick_boy282). Pours with a crystal clear orange body topped by a medium thick, white head with a good amount of lacing let behind. The aroma is slightly sweet yet sour with a slight yeastiness and fruity notes. The flavor is slightly sweet yet bitter and spicy wtih an underlying yeasty note. Light to medium bodied and smooth yet dry. tjthresh (1780), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 11, 2007 Bottle form Green’s in Atlanta, GA. Served in my brand spankin’ new Boulevard Smokestack Series Chalice. (Thanks theisti)
Pours hazy yellow orange. A little bit of white head, though it did not last long at all.
Very light aroma. Fresh hay. Citrus, lemons and oranges. Some dust.
Quite hoppy flavor! Citrus and spicy yeast character is there as well. Yummy.
Palate is a bit heavy. High carbonation. Dry, citric finish.
Hmmm. The saison snobs must be keeping this down. I think is a really nice beer.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 8, 2007 Bottle. Straightforward saison. Nothing spectacular, but no real flaws. Sweeter yeast, cheddar cheese and some sweeter floral notes on the nose. Pours hazy gold. Dry, yeasty and refreshing. A hint of candy sweetness. Just a dash of spicy hops. Creamy and a little low on carbonation. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 5, 2007 Opaque orange, soapy white head with minimal lacing. Nose that scrambles the lines between yeasty, citric, hopped, and spicy, into that smell that reminds of real saisons. Not as sweet as a wit, lacking that candy aroma, but instead one with a bit more earthiness and a refeshing, but minimum, edge of sourness. Apples and peaches show in the finish to make this an endless summer offering arriving just in time for winter. A bit watery on the palate in my opinion, not as crisp as a nice dupont, a bit disapointing in the finish. Could learn a bit in time, dry out and build carbonation and make a great spring beer. blankboy (3250), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 3, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with amber hues and an average size somewhat-lasting white head. Nice aroma of yeast, spices, fruit and hops -- quite nice. Very nice floral, yeasty, citric flavour along with spices and fruit -- some sweetness and bitterness as well. Medium bodied. Not usually one of my fave styles but these really good Saisons are slowly converting me. Nogne have yet to disappoint. waolsen (1224), Littleton, Colorado, USA
