frankenkitty (1834), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Sep 25, 2008 Extremely dense, this Saison pours a thick-hazed amber body beneath a wet head of white soap suds. Yeasty aroma, cheesish and lemony. Mild cardamom and pepper. An aroma which makes my mouth water. Gorgeous meld of flavors runs from sweet to tart with herbal bitterness to temper and finish. Thick bodied, smooth, fluffy... long-lasting on the palate and quite satisfying. Rather than drinking this on a hot summer day (as suggested in the commercial description), might I suggest to wait until the cooler days of fall to enjoy this in the true spirit of the Saison-style? I’m certainly happy that I did.

Since I can no longer provide you with an extremely helpful html link to the bottleshop’s RateBeer page, I will simply mention that I bought this pint bottle about a month ago at Kenwood Liquors in Oak Lawn, IL.
HopHeadinAZ (113), USA Dec 31, 2008 Bottle: Pours a hazy gold with a small white head. The aroma is coriander and nutmeg. The flavor is light with bready notes and a spicy finish but not much else. The palate is well balanced on this beer. It lingers appropriately. This is a nice beer, no big detraction but would buy Saison Dupont any day.
Rciesla (1571), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Dec 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden orange body with a white head 2 fingers thick. Starts with a spicy yeast, light coriander flavor. Bready with a light woodiness. okay. KAggie97 (2066), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Dec 22, 2008 Bottle from GodOfThunder. Thanks! Pours a weak yellow with an aroma of weak straw and euniched hops. Flavor is melted pennies with a pinch of hay. Average mouthfeel. Leave the Saisons to the peeps in Belgium. CelticBrew (557), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Dec 12, 2008 Poured from 500 ml bottle a hazy golden straw color, forming medium off white foamy head. Ommegang chalice is full of bubbles, aroma of bready yeast, island black pepper and citrus. Flavour is soft, and velvety, low carbonation with faint citrus rhrines. Maltiness seems to dominate as you drink the beer. Geez, its an OK saison, but it comes across as boring. Hate to say it, a little disappointing from Nogne O, rest assured, I have NOT lost my faith in our friends from that lovely brewery in Norway.
