Commercial Description:
This Belgian Ale is what you could call a wit with an attitude. We are generous with all our ingredients - including both orange peel and coriander. This does not stop this ale from being a good companion with seafood dishes.

Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F.

11P 20 IBU 4,5% ABV.

500ml bottle. Cloudy pale yellow beer with a big white head. Great fruity aroma with some banana/ester. Very flavorful, some citrus, banana and a sharp dry aftertaste. A great wit, only a bit negative on a slightly watery body.

500ml bottle from Ølutsalget i Tromsø (just arrived). Hazy golden with an inviting aroma of coriander. Fresh flavour of orange and orange shell. Basic Nøgne Ø with a solid bitter and hoppy finish. Perhaps the best summertime refreshment from a Norwegian Brewery.

Bottle. Pours a clear, yellow-gold with a small white head. The aroma is perfumey with lemon and spices all over the map among yeasty sweet cookies. Starts out with washed out spices and then there is some cheese and fruit. The flavours don’t seem very well integrated. Sampled at the Københavnske Øldage 2006 on May 20, 2006.

Highly carbonated with a big white head that quickly disappeared. A yeasty, orange and banana filled nose. Unbalanced body, lots of carbonation and too much hops for the style. Some orange flavors, but this is just poorly constructed.

Gold with fizzy white top. Fresh wit aroma, light alcoholic character. Banana. Medium bodied, a bit rough around the edge. Passable overall.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy white golden. Thick fine-laced creamy head. Soft wheaty citrus and coriander aroma. Crisp carbonated wheaty bitter mouthfeel. Very much like a German hefe-weizen -- except for the spices that is. Quite bitter flavour. Finish is dry and bitter with wheaty texture. This is a great wheat beer. I love it.

Thanks to beerkönig. FG : 1020. For a wheat beer of 4.5° alcohol, I do not quit understand the meaning of such a high final gravity. Hazy yellow beer with nice quick fainting head. Lacing rather minimal. Citrussy and malty aromas. High bodied. Here again the dryness and freshyness is somehow masked due to the FG. While it is a very original wheat beer it is way too hoppy. Still a good wheat beer
