janir (161), Oulu, Finland May 21, 2008 (Toppilan Tumma) Dark brown beer with scant but lacy white head. Aroma is sweet roasty malty and slightly grassy hops. Mild flavor is sweet, roasty malty and a bit syrupy. Aftertaste is quite dry. Light-bodied, quite carbonated and watery palate.
bierkoning (4716), La Tropica, Netherlands Aug 25, 2008 Can from Tbone, thanks! Dark brown color. Grainy aroma with maple syrup. Thin. Grainy flavor with vegetable notes and a hint of caramel. Drinkable. tlind2 (218), Helsinki, Finland Aug 18, 2008 500 ml can. Murky brown color, low white head. Can’t really get much out of the aroma. Taste has some roasted malts, not a lot of hops. Light body, high carbonation, watery mouthfeel. Pretty boring. mirjukka (355), LOHJA, Finland Aug 4, 2008 can 500ml 1,95€ from S-Market
Color:dark brown huge head disappearing fast
Taste: fizzy aftertaste dark roasted malts bit fudge, chocolate, bit hops. My last set of three this might be slightly the best. Not my favorite style but easily drinkable. Ibrew2or3 (1685), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Jul 15, 2008 Courtesy of CigarCityBrew. The can pours dark caramel copper with thin off white head. The aroma is a bit of malty sweetness followed by some citrus tartness as well as plums, dates and figs. Not bad. The taste isn’t as nice as the aroma with some moderate roasted malts that moved toward grainy malts and cereal. There’s some spicy hops and vague hop bitterness that seems a bit metallic too. Interesting. fishingnet (803), Brandon, Florida, USA Jun 23, 2008 Can courtesy CigarCityBrew. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, light caramel, ad a hint of nuts. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Good.
