Oct 3, 2009 Dark brown with a small tan head. Malty nose. Coffee and chocolate taste with an odd chalkiness at the finish. An average brown ale, with nothing really outstanding about it.

Sep 21, 2009 Draft half pint at Cooter Brown’s. Pours a dark brown color with a 1/2" tan head. Aroma: caramel malts, chocolate, vanilla, sugar. Flavor: roast, malts, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, metallic notes. Lighter body than expected, almost watery. Short roasty finish. Not bad, but a very average brown ale.

Jul 30, 2009 Draft at Chimes East Baton Rouge, LA. Traditional pint! Very dark brown with no head. Very cold. Nose is very malty and a bit chocolately. Taste is very malty and sweet with some chocolately notes. Nice roasty, burnt malts-a bit thin on the palate. Good beer for a style which is usually not one of my favorites.

pours copper/brown, beige head.
aroma and taste, dark malts, light roast with caramel.
Found it to be rather basic, with some hints of pilsener malts, some malts and the caramel in the finish. Faint touch of bready mouthfeel.
One dimensional but refreshing.
