| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2009 500. Thanks, Maria! Pours jet black with occasional ruby sparkles in the corners. Gorgeous, delectable-looking, surging bubbly tan head that settles before long to a thick, creamy mousse. Looks so like chocolate. Nice sweet roasty milk chocolate nose, with a bit of stale CO2/compressed gas smell. Decidedly creamy body on the attack that settles to a pleasantly light and drinkable level across the mid-palate. Nice roasty chocolatey mid-palate flavors. Mildly roasty baking chocolate finish that sticks around a fair bit. This is a nice drinkable porter; taking the same flavors and making them bolder would boost it a bit, and killing that compressed air smell would help a lot as well. Big earthy malt with a distinct roasty character. Loads of bitter dark chocolate and a spicy wood finish. A little straight down the line but still very enjoyable. Enjoyit (1711), Vadum, Denmark
