Commercial Description:
This sweet stout has been added cold water extract from a Mexican ecological single estate coffee. The result is a discrete coffee aroma that mixes with the slightly burnt licorice aromas from the dark malts combined with spices. The flavor is slightly sweet with an average palate and moderate bitterness and aftertaste.

Tap, Norrebro Bryghus. Dark opaque color, some brown lacing. Aroma of fresh coffee, licorice. Dry and bitter stout taste, not creamy though. Texture is more like cola, quite sparkling. If it was creamy with chocolat, it would have been very good. Now it’s only decent.

A Mes rate: Tap at the Nørrebro Bryghus. Black and oily with no head. Coffee and roasted malt aroma but a little too mellow. Flavour is similar to the nose with chocolate milk and plenty of fruit. Finish is a little too swift with a strange vanishing sensation on the palate. Tasty, but not a world beater.

Tap: Pitch black with creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted coffee, chocolate. Almost burnt notes. OK body. Dominant coffee bitter. Oily palate. Fine lacings-wauw. Light sticky hops. Lasting roasted end! Very good!

Draught @ Nørrebro Bryghus. Two finger brown creamy head. Black color with some lacing left in glass. Aroma was coffee, chocolate, smoke, roasted notes, some hope and a good portion of brown sugar. Strikes me as being very well balanced between the sweet and bitter. Medium to full bodied with a flat carbonation. Nice sweet finish. Excellent Sweet Stout!

Intens brown with small slight brownish head. Got some coffe, chocolate, smoke and malt. Nicely balanced and smooth mouthfeel. Just another stout! quit thin.

Ølfestival Horsens 2006. Draught. Pitch black with a nougat head and the aroma has notes of coffee, smoke and something I cannot define, but it’s kind of sharp, and I do not like it. The flavour has sweetness and the same sharpness as in the aroma. It has notes of coffee, chocolate and a bit of licorice, and the finish has a light bitterness. In spite of the sharpness, it’s a truly nice stout. 1625

Draught at brewpub. Black colour with decent light brown head. Roasted malts and chocolate in the impressive aroma. More sweet malt and bitter chocolate in the flavor. Lasting bitter/sweet finish. Beautiful stout this one!
