Bottle. Pours dark brown with a minimal tan head that is gone in no time. Smoky aroma with coffee and some malty sweetness. Flavor is pretty much the same and the coffee flavor is barely there. Super carbonated, like pop. Yes, this is Ohio and we say pop. Was hoping for more out of this one, especially given the price tag. Still not bad though.

Slight disappointment given the other solid beers from this brewery. Now I understand the Beer Advocate B. Vanilla in aroma. Toffee. Sweet candy. But no espresso. Falls short.

Pours a murky very dark brown with a small fizzy head, looks viscous. Gritty aroma of roasted coffee grounds and sweet tootsie-rolls with a touch of vanilla. Sweet caramel and plasticy first taste that really overwhelms the deeply roasted coffee. Syrupy taste, a little burnt. Well crafted, however, not the best flavor mix for me. Love that Norrebro body though, lightly syrupy with super smooth fluffy carbonation.

Thanks to Homerwantsbeer for sharing a bottle. The beer pours a dark brown-black color with a thin and fizzy tan head that burns away quickly. Minimal lacing on the glass. Dark roasted coffee aroma with notes of burnt malt and chocolate. Medium, dry body with a strong roasty character and flavors of espresso, dark chocolate and hops. The finish is on the thin side and stays with the roasted coffee theme. Overall this beer seemed more like a Porter than a Stout, and unfortunately not a great one at that, especially given the price tag. Above average overall on the whole though.

Pours a light tan, one-finger head that quickly vanishes leaving no lace. Totally black color. Light carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Roasted coffee nose. Flavor is sweet, smooth roasted coffee that finishes clean. Very expensive, but worth trying once, at $17.50 for a 600ml bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me.

Fad: Næsten perfekt. Suverænt det bedste batch jeg har fået af denne yderst delikate øl. Masser af sød kaffe i duften, med en smule vanilie og krydderier der hensætter dig til Ethiopien. Denne fantastiske duft går igen i smagen som gør det til en udtalt nydelse at drikke. Simpelthen fantastisk.

Bottle thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours black with tan head. Aroma of sweet dark roasted barely. Flavor is sweet, dark roast, some coffee, chocolate. Has medium body, smooth. Overall, good stuff!
