On tap at the brewpub; was a bit disappointed in this because it looked good. However, it wasn’t bad. Poured a nice cloudy yellow. Aroma of banana, breads and fruit. Flavor was the same, but just didn’t blow me away or do anything to distinguish itself. Still not a bad showing, just nothing to get too excited over.

Sharp nose kinda like cheddar and banana or something. Pours bright only slightly cloudy yellow. Decent head and lacing. Very complex flavor of hops,, wheat, strong bubblegum and banana. Light finish and texture.

Draft at the brewpub: poured cloudy yellow with zero head and a lemon slice on top. Ditching the lemon, the beer released a slight bit of banana notes and yeast notes. Flavor was typically hefeweizen with just a slight amount of corn taste. Mild chlorine notes and a slight watery finish. Decent.

Sampler at NXNW- turbulent pale yellow color, nice white head. Aroma thick with grains, yeast, malt, even bananas, intriguing. Hits the mouth with a a thin body, wheat and fruit notes more pronounced than in the smell, finish was solid. I really liked this one until my wife snatched it from me and proclaimed it to be hers!

Smells of oranges and clove. Can definitely taste clove as well. A little watery, but not terrible for a Hefeweizen

Pours very dull, murky yellow, and doesn’t look good really. Smell is mostly clove and then banana. Taste is decent, but spiced clove is the dominating flavor. I’m not big on hefeweizens, and this sampler was ok, but didn’t really make me want a pint.

So, are they marketing this as the new Tu Helen Bock, because what’s up with the logo? Tried a sample, and then filled up my growler, only to get home and have the buyers remorse that I didn’t get the Saison 600. It’s ok, sweet and lightly wheaty. I’ll try it again.
