Light crisp easy drinking white bier. medium on malts and hops. Little to no citric flavor or spicing (new to this years version). Competition Worthy. Last years was identical to Celis white. After my first Glass I ordered a half barrel to take home as I was sure this beer would not last long. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Jul 27, 2008 Hazy gold with a tight white froth. Nice spiced orange peel with clove and coriander aromas. Medium body. Big citrusy orange twang with tart wheat and a spicy merry go round of flavors. Very easy drinking summer beer. Cloudy pastel yellow with a short lived white head. Smell is super floral - roses and lavender and also a touch bready as well. Flavor is lemony and fresh and summery. Very light flavored and not very "witbier" like at all. Super mild. Mouthfeel is okay - medium body and on the verge of thin but fits here. Overall, it is drinkable but it is just a bit too much like lemonade for me. slimchill (773), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 2, 2008 Draught. Inviting lemon aroma with a strong sourness. Pours cloudy dark-yellow with a small head. Opens with a strong lemon flavor with only a light orange touch, which makes a very interesting wit. The coriander shows up next in perfect balance with a spicy, rounded bitterness. Palate is clean and appropriately thin for the style. Highly drinkable and refreshing. An outstanding witbier. Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jun 26, 2008 Sample at Brewpub. Aroma had fruit and the nose which was fine by me some are to grainy. Hazy yellow body with white head. Fruit orange along with the zesty soapy carbination to it. Refreshing sample. Would of had a full pint but had 1100 mile drive ahead of me. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 24, 2008 Pours cloudy yellowish orange with a very light whitish head. Smell is acidic wheatiness. Taste is lightly wheaty, fruity, and a sharp dry orange flavor. Crisp bubbly mouthfeel with a medium to thin body. Refreshing but a bit mild flavorwise. Not particularly authentic or representative of the style but a great summer quencher nonetheless and highly drinkable.
