North By Northwest Christmas Porter

A very hearty beer. Definitely had some fruitiness to it from start to finish. Tasted too sweet to be called a porter, almost more like a sweet stout with a slightly hopped finish....well done.

Very dark with hints of mahogany on the edges of the glass. Prominent cherry and strawberry in the aroma and flavor. The tug-o-war between the hops and malt is about a draw, but I was really rooting for the hops. Given the fruity flavors of the beer, I thought that a more hop-forward character would have suited it better. Medium-bodied. Vaguely reminded me of a failed cherry stout homebrew that I had long ago.
