North By Northwest Duckabish Amber

Had on tap with Cavie at the brewpub while visiting Austin. The only notes I had written down were "Nutty and caramelly..." along with my rating.

Pours a light amber copper colour .. . light medium head .. A- lacing .. . light maple and polished copper tubing aromas .. . light honey and cornflakes on the tongue, finishes with some cassis sweetness .. .decent for such a boring style .. at least its not french, terrible people..

On tap at the brewpub.Light amber in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is heavy in malt and caramel. Taste is extremely malty as well with some caramel and nuts.

Rusted color, weak aroma. Taste is still good, something in the finish agrees with me.

On draft at the brewhouse. Amber color with a small white head. Smell is malty with some carmelized apples. Taste is lacking, again, and watered down. Light in mouthfeel and flavor.

On tap. Orange to amber in color with an off white head and clear in look. Smells of malts, toastiness, and caramel. Taste is the same as the smell. Watery and lacking in real substance.

Draught. Nose of caramel malts and mild hops. Clear maple-colored with no head. Caramel, fusel alcohol, and a light bitterness. A very boring and thin beer.
