Aug 20, 2006 Pour is hazed golden amber with a thin off white head...smell is sweet and bready malty with some caramel...taste is nicely malty up front with some nice sourdough bread flavor and slightly subtle bitterness rounding out the finish...

does not count  Sep 19, 2005 Light straw color with a white head. Very subtle hop taste to the point of almost not being there. I was not impressed with this beer.

Aug 30, 2002 Very average appearance, little head. Pretty good bitter though...nice maltiness throughout with a pleasant hop finish. What an ESB should taste like.
