500 ml bottle from Walt! Nose was tart and funky. Clear copper with a very small off white head. Lightly tarty and funky with a bitter note and light peppery spiciness.

Big thanks to ThickFreakness. Pours a cloudy dark amber color, low clarity. The head is small but sits around for while with a slightly sticky lacing. Aroma is oh so strong aceto, lots of it. Its all that straight up prickly vinegar. It comes off as very tart peach as well mixed with very tart cherry syrup and cherry skins. Taste is definitely less on the aceto, but still relatively strong. It is still tart and very green (meaning young) grape. Basically, the aceto part is there but there isn’t that strong (usually cocoa-like) maltiness to back it up. Still good but could be better.
<BR 375mL capped and waxed bottle in a Regenboog elongated tulip.

Bottle shared by Miketd. Thanks! Pours a hazed lighter than expected light copper with a thin fizzy head. Aroma is sour and acetobacter, vinegar- apple cider vinegar dominates, tends to be a bit prickly with a light appley sweetness. More prickly acetic acid in the finish- a bit gtoo green with apples- cidery and just lotso fo vinegar. pretty good overall but I feel like this one was a bit too harsh prickly, funky and jsut not controlled or refined, or even complex as some other examples.

Thanks to notalush for sharing this. Hazy golden colour. Thin head. Aroma is quite lovely. Soft fruity apricot and cherry aroma as well. Soft light tartness with a touch of acetone fruitiness. Flavour is significantly less fruity/tart than the aroma suggests but is still quite lovely. It starts out smelling lightly acetone-like but it then settles into a nice cherry and apricot fruitiness. Vineous and fruity with soft lactic funkiness. As it warms it gets a little bit funky as well. Pretty nice.

Thanks to bgramer for this - pours a hazy gold, with a soapy lace - sour peach aroma, with mild fruit skin and funk, a bit of yogurt/lacto tartness, and mild acetone - the flavor has a bite of acetone on both ends - through the middle there is a peach sweetness, some yogurt-ish flavors, and a tiny bit of leathery character - a little too acetic at times, but still pretty good.

Interesting little hand-waxed 500 provided by BVC. Thanks, Brandon! Pours a slightly murky burnished medium amber. Thin gray rim. Powerhouse vinegar and sulphur nose. Creamy, medium body, plenty of fizz. Tangy, vinegary mid-palate. Bracing and very refreshing.

GABF 2007. Classic flemish sour. Reminds me instantly of the Duchess. Smells of apple vinegar and some other notes (some that I was tasting with said acetone, which I can maybe see, and others said diacetyl, which I did not see at all). After the swallow, there’s something that wafts in the throat and burns a bit, and I doubt it’s the alchol, but it’s there. I’m a sucker for this style, so my score is more based on that than any particular thing this beer does.

12 oz. bottle - thanks to WeeHeavySD for sharing; pours a hazy dark orange with thin white head, lacing and plenty of funk; next to the cascade cuvee, this was quite tart and dry; mostly a cherry-like tartness; very nice, just a sour that was mostly sour without much else interesting going on; thanks Jon
