GABF 2007. A hazy pale golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet and very sour with notes of wood and brettanomyces. The flavor is very acidic with strong notes of wood and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry woody finish. A great Flemmish Sour, thanks Logan for pointing me in the direction of this beer.

Bottle at the RBSG grand tasting on 6/23/07: Pours a hazy amber bronze with a thin-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of earthy chalky cherries and a touch of pale malt. Body starts with a full light caramel sweetness and a decent tart, light fruity complexity toward a drier, semi-tart earthy finish. A decent Flemish sour.

Thanks to notalush for sharing this. Hazy golden colour. Thin head. Aroma is quite lovely. Soft fruity apricot and cherry aroma as well. Soft light tartness with a touch of acetone fruitiness. Flavour is significantly less fruity/tart than the aroma suggests but is still quite lovely. It starts out smelling lightly acetone-like but it then settles into a nice cherry and apricot fruitiness. Vineous and fruity with soft lactic funkiness. As it warms it gets a little bit funky as well. Pretty nice.

Light honey color, mostly clear, just a slight haze. Decent funky and fresh (crisp!) pils malt and lactic yeast. A little honey and pils malt sweetness compliments the mild funk and tartness. Very clean and flavorful. Oily and filmy texture, light to moderate lambic-like feet funk... medium acidity, very nice overall.

Sample from 375 ml bottle (I think), RBSG Minneapolis Grand Tasting, June 23 2007. Fairly light amber, quite hazy/dirty with a nice bit of lasting white head....the nose is full of sour funkiness, tart cherries and a hint of strong sour lemons, a bit of charred wood....strongly sour in the body as well, juicy and tart throughout with a finish that just doesn’t quit....touches of bitter almonds add a nice flourish to the fine cherry/oaky/yeasty picture....strong carbonation, very full. Quite excellent; thanks Walt!
