Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, some pine, and some toastiness. Tastes of floral hops, toasted caramel, and some citrus. More hops in the aromas and leaning towards a more malt balance in the taste. Some lacing left on the glass. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 24, 2008 On tap. Pours a clear slightly thin looking amber color with a light offwhite to white head. Smell is clean with fresh, fruity hops and an overall very nice perfumey nose. Taste is very clean pine and citrusy and fruity hops with a moderately sweet malty backbone and a lingering light bitterness to keep it in check throughout the finish. A bit thin overall and slightly sweet, but the clean piney hops balance enough. Extremely drinkable, but a touch on the thin side. Still a decent beer and a somewhat friendly DIPA. beastiefan2k (1601), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 18, 2008 Thanks to thickfreakness. Pours an orange/copper color with a small head that quickly fades. Aroma is vine-y green hops with a bit of sweet fruit. Taste is well attenuated but the hops are stripped away. A bit empty on the flavor. Stick to the sour stuff guys. 22oz bottle, New Belgium snifter/goblet glass. douglas88 (1597), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 4, 2009 Bomber thanks to slimchill. Pours a clear orange color with a thick ice cream-scoop like head. The aroma is sweet citrus malts. The flavor is mostly a rich and juicy citrus malt, lots of grapefruit, but not very bitter. A good balance of caramel malts also. Clean and quaffable. Very nice. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 12, 2009 Courtesy SoLan. Mostly clear amber color, thin white soapy head. Nice heavy grass and pineapple hop aromas, less punch than expected for a 7%. Nice punch to the taste though, borders on being astringent, but pretty nice overall. redlight (1471), Winter Park, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 10, 2009 Thanks to Solan for sharing! Fresh cut pine with traces of grapefruit peel. Pours pale amber. Loads of piney hope in the flavor, super hoppy, resiney, with hints of biscuits. It leaves the mouth feeling sticky! Solid IPA! Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 13, 2008 Bomber shared by beastiefan2k. Pours golden amber with a thin wispy off-white head. The nose is of bright PNW hops with a sweet, malty caramel backing. On the light-side of medium-bodied with soft carbonation and a bitter finish. The flavor is of solid pale malt with a hit of piny and citric hops in support. This is a solid enough IPA, but I am not sure I would call it an IIPA. I do like it, though. Thanks for sharing it with me, Eugene. mreusch (729), Olathe, Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 17, 2008 22oz. bomber, with thanks to BeastieFan2K. Pours a clear goldenish amber with a creamy off-white head, minimal lace. Aroma is nice, with pine/resin, and some citrus. Flavor is more tongue scraping and rough, which kind of kills the additional pine and citrus on the flavor. A bit rough around the edges and imbalanced, not bad, but none too exciting. Thanks again for sharing Eugene!
