Commercial Description:
Guldenbiere is a Golden Ale similar to the artisanal ales of Belgium. It is lightly spiced with coriander, ginger, and kaffir lime. TIGHT FITTING LONG-TERM CORKS WERE USED; A STRONG CORKSCREW IS RECOMMENDED

Bottled, courtesy of DenverLogan. A slightly hazy orange beer with a lazing huge orange head. The aroma is sweet spicy especially cloves, combined with notes of fruit. The flavor is sweet - a bit too sweet for my liking, with notes of peaches, leading to a very dry spicy end. Good for being a US produced Belgian Ale.

Name: Guldenbiere
Date: 02/02/2006
Mode: Bottle Conditioned
Source: Ale Atlanta

clear pale yellow, fine white head, sweet spice malt aroma, huge sweet flavor balanced by some nice tartness, touch of spices, tart lemon character stays strong and balances any alcohol that tries to show up, ends up being a battle between the lemon and spices

Bottle courtesy of Walt: Pours a lightly hazy pale golden color with a big, fizzy and sticky-lacing white head. Aroma of green apples, biscuity malt and bready yeast. Body starts with some sweet pale Belgian malt and some mildly tart Granny Smith apple flavor with a hint of ginger. Smooth and balanced, an authentic treat from NXNW.

Bottle...GABF RB Tasting ’06... Murky straw-colored ale with a small, frothy, white head. Good retention. The nose is a blend of breadsy, citric, fruity and earthy malts, hops, esters and phenols. Sweet, fruity flavor with good tanginess. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with almost no carbonation. Finishes warming and lightly sweet. Thanks to 1FastSTi for sharing the bottle!

Big thanks to fly for this one. Pours turbid canary with a clingy 1-finger white head. Aroma is fruit, including tart peaches and apricot, some funky yeasty notes, spicy, floral, and mild candi sugar. The taste is candi sugary but not too sweet at first, giving way to some fruit, florals, and yeasty notes. There is a huge amount of yeasty sediment in this, giving it a very rich, complex, fruity and floral flavor that I enjoyed greatly. This brewer was one of my biggest surprises for 2007.
