Excellent retention. Biscuity, fruity nose with additional notes of corn and hay. Perfectly balanced flavor. Breadsy and dry with champagne-like fizz. Medium-bodied. Bone-dry finish. Fruity citrus and candy sugar nose, with heavy floral dandelion notes, some coriander, and some sweet soapy scents as well. Soft on the palate, creamy and sweet, with more floral saison-esque spice and floral/perfume notes. An interesting spiced Belgian-style beer, sweet and sticky in the finish. Very decent. goldtwins (4081), Nesconset, New York, USA

Aromas of yeast, spice, and a good amount of fresh cut grass. Flavor is yeasty as well with lots of corriander notes and some grassy herbal notes as well. Light and well carbonated with a pleasant soft mouthfeel. Pretty tasty! kramer (2465), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a hazy straw yellow with a small fizzy white head that fell to a thin covering and a small bubbly ring. Nose is quite funky and floral with a good dose of yeast and a touch of honey. The flavor is pretty tame compared to the aroma, some perfume like notes and light spices with a really nice yeast character. Some sweetness and hay notes on the finish. Mouthfeel is light -medium bodied with moderate fine fizzy carbonation. A pretty nice beer, this really seemed to have some type of spicing going on even though it said it didn’t. I guess it’s all yeast derived. I’d like to try the other version of this now. kmweaver (2465), Sebastopol, California, USA

Cloudy, yellowish-honey color; white head with good retention and lacing. Dense, floral-dominated aroma; plenty of fresh-cut flowers, white pepper, and yeast. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: the characteristics are more of a standard belgian golden ale: floral notes, belgian sugar, and yeast; basic chewy belgian beer, a bit of a let-down from the nose. Medium, doughy and yeasty finish. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 20, 2006 Pour is hazed and opaque golden yellow with a thin white head...smell is yeasty and sweet with some pears and peaches and maybe notes of orange...mouthfeel is thick with some light notes of tickling carbonation...the flavor seems a little on the subdued side...some light spicy flavors like corriander, but very mellow...sweet for sure and I definately taste some orange flavor...I have to say that I prefer the first, as it had a much more robust palate...
