2006 500ml bottle from Walt! Nose of light cardboardiness, cherries, funkiness, and caramel. Clear copper-red with a huge, quick dispersing, off white head. Flavor was peppery light tartness, and cherries.

Thanks to notalush for sharing this. Deep, deep red and purple colour with a thick sticky pink-red head. Aroma is loaded with sweet cherry aroma. A little bit of tartness, but not at all similar to the flemish red. There is a soft cinnamon aroma as well. A little bit acetic, but this character is a lot less restrained than in the flemish red as well. Soft spiciness mingling nicely with the cherry skins and pits. Soft yogurty lactic tartness... nice warm nutmeg spiciness. Quite rich, sweet and fruity. This is damn tasty stuff.

Thanks to bgramer for this - pours a turbid purplish red - thick, frothy lace - smells of overripe, semi-rotting cherries, earthy dankness, odd, but somehow appropriate minty character - very full in the mouth - ooo, quite tasty - just a slight hint of acidity - loads of whole cherry flavor, pits and all - a tiny bit of warming spices - very mild acetone on the back end - a very mild funky/cheesy character throughout - a bit sweet in spots, but so very tasty.

Bottle from Miketd. Thanks so much Mike. Crazy carbonation springs forth as I pop the cap and now im cleaning up the mess. Mucho amounts of acidic acid in this one much like their Flemish Sour. I like this one better as the cherries added nice depth without becoming overbearing. Cherry flavor melds into the sourness to create a nice bodied beer. I like NXNWs approach on this one as its not quite a kriek but its not quite a flemish red.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark ruby red-nice color. Small white head. Nose of cherries and tartness. taste of cherries but not overwhelming. Very tart and puckery but it could use even more tartness. Wood tones come out as it warms. Very nice beer.

Bottle, thanks to WeeHeavySD for sharing. Pours a murky brownish-red with a white ring. Very sour aroma, of fruit, funk, and malt. Taste is sour and sweet, of cherries and malt, with hints of both raspberry and cranberry. Lingering ripe fruit flavors. Very tasty.

Thanks to lb4lb for the bottle! The pour on this brew is brilliant pink with a lite pink head, but pretty good size! Flavor is fairly sour with cherries and some funk. Pretty impressive actually. Very good palate and easy to drink. Great!
