| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 24, 2005 White head on a black body with abundant light shining through this dark ale. Flavor is strange... similar to the black-soba from Rogue with a twangy vegetable and cream flavor. Bland and flavorless with a mild, pasty palate and an aroma that stinks of milk and vegetables. The only good qualities about it are that the bad flavors are not strong at all. Very subtle. PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Flavor has a bit of a roasty flavor. Has a decent malty backbone, but overall, is rather bland. Mouthfeel is decent enough, but needs work. KAggie97 (2482), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 30, 2008 On tap at the brewpub; surprsingly this was my favorite on the night. Poured a dark, almost reddish brown with a decent amount of head. Aroma was caramel and roasted; bit of chocolate. Flavor was very drinkable for the style with a nice blend of chocolate, caramel and fruity malts. Good for the style.
