GABF 2007. Cloudy, muddied brown colored pour with a soapy layer of off-white head. Leathery nose with a pleasant dose of pomegranite skin fruitiness, but has kind of a musty, moldy sour character. Where I’m looking for a nice, tart fruitiness, I find fruit and odd-placed funk, kind of like jam on some moldy bread. Sweet and sticky mouthfeel with a subtle tickling carbonation - really not dry enough for a lambic, and more along the lines of a Flemish sour. Flavors of pomegranite seeds and acetic vinegar. More of that moldy bread flavor comes through on the back end. The fruit characters and nice, and I have to applaud the concept and risk level taken to brew this beer, but the acetic acid and foul funk prevent this from being good. Hopefully this beer will gather enough attention to be brewed repeatedly and get dialed in to that level.

GABF ’07. hazy amber body. A delightful combination of sweet & fresh pomegranate and what I think is the Wyeast Roselare blend. Good stuff.

Cbus 8 shared by moejuck. Red pour with a yellowed white head. Aroma of sour cherry, tart pomegranate and oak. Flavor of tart fruits, pale malt and dry woody elements. Medium/light body sour/fruity with a dry finish.

GABF 2007. Golden orange in color with a little white head. Fruity pomegranate earthy aroma. Lemony cherry flavor. Apple and orange notes. Tart tasting. Finish is sour. Sweet. Light bodied. Very nice.

Golden brown in color small white head. Pomegranate, light leather, some earthy tones. Well coated palate quite tart, brings a puckering to the lips. Tart flavor w/ a good fruity sweetness from the pomegranate, hints of leather. Quite a nice little sour beer.

Holy Jesus, I nearly spit this right back out when I tasted it. Definitely a bad choice Marc. Taste is this really weird, corny flavor of pomegranate- like Fruit Loops actually. Just way too much cereal in this. I could not get past it. Decent aroma, nice pomegranate flavor initially, but damn, this turned awful.

(Bottle) Pours a pinkish body with a small off-white head. Aroma of tart pomegranate, lemon zest, and subtle sour cherries. Flavor of pomegranate, apple, and light citrus (lemon, orange) with some syrupy mouthfeel.

Bottle courtesy of Walt, shared at C-bus 8. Very interesting color--shades of pink and orange combined. Small white head on top. The aroma is mostly sour apples with some pomegranate and good dose of yeast. The taste follows with some hints of oak and more sweetness than expected. Very enjoyable.
