However, it did not disappoint. Poured an orange color; didn’t make notes of the head. Aroma was citrus and fruity; flavor was similar with only a moderate bitter bite at the end. However, the hop flavor was spot on; good for the style. Bockyhorsey (2528), Mesa, Arizona, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 20, 2008 Sampler at NXNW- very small off white head, cloudy hazen amber appearance, aroma of hops and, for some reason, light evergreen trees. Hits the mouth with a medium body, the malt is in near perfect balance with the hops, finish is good and strong. My favorite of the evening. jujubeast6000 (784), Houston, Texas, USA

Aroma is a nice piney hop flavor with maybe some cedar too. I really liked the fresh, woodsy smell of this one. Taste was of some mild hop bitterness, and a good balanced malt behind it. Overall a slightly sweet pale ale that is very drinkable. I liked it a lot and ordered a pint after having it in the sampler. My favorite of the NXNW beers so far. churchill00 (154), Austin, Texas, USA
