Flavor: sweet malt flavor, citrus hops come on strong, bitterness rises up out of the hop flavor to balance the sweetness and leave a nice long bitter finish

Hazy golden color with a nice lace. Nice hoppy aroma, a bit fruity (Cascade, light grapefruit) . Average strength, with some malt (not enough) and a good clean hoppy line (Cascade, a bit fruity, with some hop resins).

Jan 20, 2004 Light copper color with a thick lacing white head. Fresh Cascade hoppy aroma. Sweet candy-like malt flavor and a dry finish. This could stand to gain a little more complexity and balance.

Feb 24, 2005 Slightly hazy orange appearance. Leafy, musty hops: annibus like and with a sweet sugar and IPA-like gritty bitter texture. Mandarin orange flavors with a light bread note, caramel or crystal malts... juicy, sharp citrus finish. Impressive. I’ve heard that the recipe changed recently and that the new version actually contains hops :)

Dec 1, 2004 Had on tap at the brewpub in Austin. Light copper appearance, thin white head. Brief floral aroma. Flavor has some citrusy cascade hoppiness, but not overdone. Some nuttiness comes through to balance it out. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Decent APA.

Oct 13, 2009 Growler thanks to angrypirate06. Pours with a large, creamy white head over a clear amber gold body. Aroma is nice orangy PNW hops. Tangerine. Flavor is citrus and grassy with some toasted grain notes. Creamy and bubbly with a light body. Great pale ale!

Jun 26, 2008 Tap at Brewery. Good aroma of sweet citrus and floral aroma also. Orange body color with decent head. Good cirus orange flavor medium bodied beer with a mild bitter on the finish. Good brew while the bartender was packing up couple of bottles and growler for me.

Jun 30, 2004 Probably this place’s best offering, which isn’t saying much. Somebody, ANYBODY, tell the brewmaster to PLEASE USE SOME HOPS!!!
