Thanks Ty for increasing the hops in this from its former self. It is delicious on draught & the cask was awesome. The hop flavor & aroma are wonderful: citrus, earthy too. Mild sweetness along with the bitterness. A well-rounded pale ale/IPA that you don’t want to miss, even on draught. HumuloneRed (750), Portland, Oregon, USA

Big citrus fruity flavor. Nice round and balanced flavor. Very drinkable. This is Ty’s IPA. He got rid of the old PyJino Pale and made this his own. Great job Ty! jujubeast6000 (795), Houston, Texas, USA

Pale copper in color with a little cloudiness. Huge cascade aroma and flavor. Very fruity and citrussy. Moderate to high bitterness. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Tap. Well, I most of had the new recipe, because this beer was magnificent. Nice honey body with a lasting 1/2 inch head. Nose-good fresh clean hops. A great classic APA clean hoppy nose. Taste-my first impression is that this is a bit thin, but good. What it has, it does well with, if you know what I mean. The hops are in the background and upfront at the same time while the malt is balanced just right with the hops. The only NXNW beer that I ordered twice.. Andrew196 (1091), Katy, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 11, 2002 I like this beer a lot actually. The hops were very flavorful and powerful but not overly bitter like many pale ales. Somewhat complex for a pale ale, sweet malt came out before the great finish. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Aroma is a nice piney hop flavor with maybe some cedar too. I really liked the fresh, woodsy smell of this one. Taste was of some mild hop bitterness, and a good balanced malt behind it. Overall a slightly sweet pale ale that is very drinkable. I liked it a lot and ordered a pint after having it in the sampler. My favorite of the NXNW beers so far. mmmbeer (765), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 20, 2008 Sampler at NXNW- very small off white head, cloudy hazen amber appearance, aroma of hops and, for some reason, light evergreen trees. Hits the mouth with a medium body, the malt is in near perfect balance with the hops, finish is good and strong. My favorite of the evening.
