bottle thanks to travita. nice opaque yellow with a ring of white froth. malts, spices and an overall earty scent. that’s quite a peppery beer. very smooth on the palate and a smooth finish actually.

(22oz bottle from brewery with weeAnaP on August 1, 2008) Thin, weak white head that left no lacing. Super cloudy pale orange color. Yeasty aroma with corriander. Taste is yeasty, almost sour. Clean, light, not heavy and leaves no real aftertaste other than a little yeast left at the base of the nasal thingy. Cheeks starting to feel like they’re puckering. A good saison, just a little watery for my taste. Would have liked a little more spice.

Pours a nice light hazy copper with a foamy slightly diminishing head. Aroma is initially straight forward saison yeast character- bready, doughy, slight sea salt and turns a bit lemony earthy adn a hint of wierd funk- reminded me a bit of an older fantome. Good doughy malt flavor at first, but turns a bit lemony lactic and crackery with more salt in the end and lots of yeasty phenols.

Clear yellow orange with a thin off white head. Smell is fruity and funky and a bit musky. Flavor is light and watery and just a bit too bland. Flavor is too light and smell is a touch inbalanced. Overall, not awful.

(22oz bottle, thanks kmweaver) Minimal white head with hazy apple juice body. Aroma is medium sweet, horseblanket, raspberry, lemon. Taste is medium sweet, lavender, dandelion, light lemon. Undercarbonated light-medium body.

Bottle from slimchill. Thanks Slim! Hazy golden with a small white lace. Nos is citrus, resiny hops, yeast, and earth. Flavor is similar with some sweet malt and yeast, a bit of honey, and some citrus bitterness. Pretty good, but well short of spectacular for the style.

Pours a clear gold color with no lasting head. SMell is yeasty, fruity, and sweet and belgian like. Taste is sweet and malty with a bit of a yeasty and lightly spiced flavor. Light body and carbonation and decent, but a bit too sweet for my liking. Ok beer.

Overripe, dusty fruit character in the aroma; light spicing, honey, overly sweet. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: following the aroma, overripe yellow fruits, bananas, honey, and floral / stemmy notes; very muddled, sweet expression of a saison. Disappointing. Medium finish: some basic bitterness, sugar, and lingering floral / spice notes.
