12oz, no date from I think Saarlander and Mystery Swap 2.0, thanks Andy. Very deep ruby with a two finger beige head. Aroma of chocolate malt balls, cereal grain, roasted malts, a hint of hops and scorched toffee. Flavor has some semisweet chocolate and ashy roasted malts, Semidry finish with bitterness never really going anywhere, peaking around a 2. Moderate carbonation with a medium body. Pretty good for the style.

Chocolaty, malty aroma; small, disappearing brown head; very smooth mouthfeel, with some coffee bitterness, a slight amount of sweetness; finish is sweet and coffee.

12 oz bottle, via Saarlander. Pours a clear dark brown body under a smallish fizzy brown head that faded to a thin covering quickly. The aroma is very dry and roasty with a noticable hoppiness. Some coffee, burnt malt, and a light nuttiness. Flavor is burnt malt dominated with some astringency and lighter caramel. Finishes with moderate bitterness and burnt coffee. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a watery texture. Moderate fizzy forced carbonation feel. Overall, a decent dry stout. On the hoppier side, with a touch too much astringency.

Bottle. Pours black with a large, lasting tan head. Aroma is slightly sweet and roasted malt. Flavor is a well balanced dry stout, with the usual components of roast malt, coffee, a hint of chocolate, and a hint of caramel. Smooth if somewhat thin palate and a long, mildly astringent finish. Not particularly exciting really, but good for the style.

Pours black with lasting tan head. Smell is nice and sweet molassesy, and roastiness. Taste is very nice. balanced roasty, sweet, bitter, and a hint of coffee with a very drying finish. Very flavorful, drinkable stout. Quite good, unique (to me) and worth getting for sure.

Aromas of chocolate, coffee, darkly toasted malt. Opaque brown/black color with a tan head that endures. Thinnish, lightly carbonated. Starts with coffee, toasted malt (almost like the really old Guinness), and a light touch of chocolate. Dry it is. Very nice bitter to go with the carbonized malt in the finish. Really quite good.
