Commercial Description:
Malted wheat and the choicest American barley are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile. It's especially good with a slice of lemon!

Tasted at Stone XI Party. Hazy yellow with no head. Herbal aroma with an interesting herbal tea like taste and an earthy/bready finish.

Bottle. Smooth orangish golden color. Ultra white head. Very subtle smell. Tastes sweet and somewhat doughy. Smooth with nice crisp finish. Quite mild flavor - could use more of it. Nice on palate - high carbonation. I just wish I could smell and taste more of this beer. Quite decent overall and easy to drink.

Another surprise from the NCB. When I poured it, I thought that it looked like lemon juice. It ended up being a telltale sign. The lemon flavor is very heavy, but not so overpowering that it ruins the beer in it’s entirety I felt. I will admit that I like strong flavors in a beer, so anything that is very full will most likely get more points from me. It might be so strong that it makes it that you have to dig that lemon flavor in your wheat beer (or full flavors in general), otherwise you might not appreciate it that much.

Perfect hazy golden pour with a big lasting white head in a weizen glass. Smell is lemony, lightly wheaty, and refreshingly simple. Taste is fairly light, lemony, very mildly wheat, and a bit of tartness. Perfectly crisp bite and finish, yet smooth at the same time. A nice wheat which although lacking some flavor, is a good easy drinking summer beer nonetheless.

Its alright, pretty standard wheat. Cloudy gold pour. Grainy, lemon, little bit of spice, wheat etc. Slightly sweet.

12oz bottle. Decent American wheat. It tasted very light and refreshing. Some wheat and yeast, probably could drink a lot of these.

Medium bodied - lots of malt from both wheat and barley; what I think of as a good blend percentage. There is quite a bit of cereal pale malt to mellow the wheat. Pretty citrusy in the form of strong lemon. The hops are slmost absent except in the form of some upfront bitterness thats quickly surplanted. A little bit of vegetable lingering in a dry finish. Good summer drink, seen better in this style but have certainly seen worse.
