Commercial Description:
Malted wheat and the choicest American barley are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile. It's especially good with a slice of lemon!

Wheat with hints of apricot, yeast, banana and crackers. Light body and crisp carbonation. Nice balance and understated. Actually, it’s a damn good American wheat.

Bottle. Poured a yellowish/orange color with nice head. Has a nice floral note. Grainey / malty flavor. No hint of banana, nice brew though.

a burnt yellow color with a surprisingly small head. citrus grain aroma with a nice floral note. medium light thick slightly watery body. the flavor is a little watery, but tastes of honey malt, grain, lemon, and a light bitterness. untraditional but in a kind of bad way. too small of a head and not enough malt or fruit flavor. ok but not that good

Bottle. Pours opaque brownish yellow with white head. The aroma is very yeasty, with some sweet bread, some lemon, and faint citrus and earth. The flavor is sweet, with biscuits, zest, and a little bit of cookie dough. Dark in the finish with some bark, grapefruit, and a slight twang like Splenda. Ok beer except for that artificial sugar nudge at the end, which is pretty offputting.

$1.79 single at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a cloudy, pale golden body with a fizzy, foamy white head. Smell: Gentle, understated aroma of toasted wheat, wildflowers, honey, and lemon wedges. Taste: Honey sweet and grainy with fruit flavors of peach and lemon. Leaves a sour yeasty aftertaste. Spiced bananas and some hints of dough before the light, citrusy finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A likeable, even welcome wheat beer for the summer. Shine on, lil’ Blue Star, shine on!

Smells like a typical American Wheat but more striking. The nose is a big wheaty minty appealing. A touch of honey? Cloudy copper color with a firm head. Clean and refreshing, but not bland with a wheaty zestiness and a hint of citrus near the finish. Lingering mint and thyme spiciness. Very nice!
