Commercial Description:
Malted wheat and the choicest American barley are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile. It's especially good with a slice of lemon!

Overly soft and clean nose with a touch of wheat. Clean and dry with some mild noble hop notes and a bit of soft citrus. Well made but oh-so boring.

Light nose with a trace of wheat, hazy yellow color, low sticky head. Sweet bready graininess to the body with a light citrus tang. Not really a German wheat style and not really an American wheat--somewhere in between. But not too thrilling overall.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a good size white head. Has hints of fruit, some hops. Finishes very nice and clean.

Pours cloudy and orange-yellow. A moderate head. Citrus smell and flavor with a bit of a sour aftertaste.

Aroma of wheat, apricot?, citrus. Maybe spice. Interesting smell. Hazy lightly ripe apricot color. Very little head, but it tries to lace. Starts with wheat, develops a bit of spice, a little citrus, and finally in the end some yeast and light hop. Very light hop. Really good. Nice alternative to a hefeweizen. The bitter becomes a bit more pronounced as the glass dwindles.

This poured a dark yellow and murky with a big fat frothy head that left moderate lacing. Nose is wheat, citrus, banana, cloves, and piney hops. Mouthfeel is mediium and so is the carbonation. Finish average in length. A very acceptable Wheat.

Wheat is quite dominate, as it should be, hops are non existant. Nothing special, here probably the most dissapointing brew from north coast, its a good wheat but nothing special a bit too light in my opinion.
