Commercial Description:
Malted wheat and the choicest American barley are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile. It's especially good with a slice of lemon!

Pours hazy light yellow with small white head. Nose is faint floral hops and wheat. Flavor starts with floral and herbal hops, very mildly bitter, some faint citrus tones, with some slightly sweet malt balance towards the end. Clean finish, rather watery but pleasant mouthfeel.

tap at the brewpub - This is a light, mildly citrus flavored beer. It’s on the watery side and despite a fairly good flavor, the finish seems off. It’s drinkable, but I’m not at all impressed.

Well, it is definitely light and fruity, so at least they are being honest. Solid wheat. Perfect for a rockin’ night out or staying home for an evening of slow-jams.

Pours light golden and effervescent with a fully receding white head. Aroma of honey, lightly toasted grain, and wheat. Taste is grainy with wheat and clean tasting flavors, not very fruity. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation. Easy to drink, no flaws. Very nice American wheat.

[Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm] Cloudy dark yellow, average head. Flowery nose. Dryish with crisp mouthfeel and some pleasant citric hops. Light to medium bodied with lightly spicy finish holding just a hint of bitterness. A freshenign beer, more full of life and character than most American wheat ales.

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Colour is pale amber, with a white disappearing head. Nose is fruity with citrus (mandarin, lemon), fresh grass and hints of raspberries. Taste is fruity with citrus, peaches, mandarin and tropical fruit. Mildly sweet and fresh wheat character. Light body. Refreshing and very friendly (to be honest, a bit too friendly, I wouldn’t mind some more bite).

(bottle) Hazy gold with minimal head. Citrus aroma. Flavor is light, some citrus, not as yeasty as the haze would make you expect. A nice summer wheat beer.
