This stuff is good because it’s got more bitter overtones than some hefe’s, and a more "basic" flavor. Nothing too complex or weird. Straightforward, but pretty solid. Not a fantastic beer, but good compared to a lot I’ve tried. TrevorFloyd (309), Connecticut, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 1, 2005 Bottle. Pours a clear amber hue with an average white head that diminished slowly. Good balanced sweet aroma. Medium body. Average also well balanced flavor with a good finish. Good find in Florida. DrBayern (1137), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2005 12 oz. bottle. Cloudy gold with a nice, reasonably well sustained white head. Aromas of faint yeast and fruit. Tart, mildy acidic taste that feels a tad thin. Mild fruity esters and a finish of mild hop bitterness. Refreshing, not offensive, but not up to the level of the really good hefeweizens. yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 21, 2005 Cloudy golden beer with a nice white head. Aroma is weak, tart and hoppy, with wheat. Flavor is bready, wheaty, smooth and grassy. Well balanced but not assertive enough to be remarkable. Not bad for an American Wheat, but that doesn’t say much.. Somewhat refreshing and drinkable, but only a hint of the citrus tartness one expects. About on a par with the Sierra Nevada wheat. Still, I’ve had lots worse.. (think UFO) A reasonable effort from North Coast. Sammy (4068), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2005 Satisfying smooth drinking wheat beer. Just nice at end of a long hot day. Good yeast. Grain. Nice sweet malt and hops. Some citrus, vanilla, coriander. Perfect carbonation and mid mouthfeel. Not a big beer, done very well. Cable (286), SE, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 7, 2005 Sampled from bottle. Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a scattered white head. Aroma is a sweet and sour (faint, yet unpleasant) with citrus notes. Flavor is balanced and bready with tart, grassy wheat, plum and bubble gum. Medium-bodied and moderately carbonated. Finished clean. I’m really ambivalent about this beer: I can’t say run out and buy it, but don’t be afraid to try it if you run across it at a pub either. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 6, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) Not an especially flavorful wheat beer, but it fits the style. The mild wheat flavor is minimally sweet and is balanced by a gentle hop bitterness and a slight citrusy sourness. Dry wheat aroma isn’t capturing me either. Yeast in the bottle results in a very cloudy light golden beer. The white head pours small, fades quickly to a small ring and leaves no lacing. For a basic American Wheat, this is possibly above average, but it needs to be way above average for me to really like it. So, pretty much just an easy drinking beer for your summer parties. Of course, that’s why I always bring my own beer.
