Commercial Description:
Malted wheat and the choicest American barley are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile. It's especially good with a slice of lemon!

Poured on tap into a standard pint glass. 1" fizzy and tight head. Actually was resistant when trying to take the first sip. Virtually no smell. Couldnt pick up much at all, maybe it was poured too cold, but it didnt have enough to stand up to the sweaty tard standing next to me. Taste was good, corriander on the front, and nice sour orange peel on the back. Washes away clean. Mouthfeel was light, watery at times, and nothing to take note of good or bad. Could be a great session beer.

The pour yields a cloudy, glowing, orange amber colored body. A quick head of off-white foam leaves a soapy wash and minimal, splotchy lacing. Aromas of dry wheat and slightly stale cereal grain are accompanied by traces of sweet honey and perhaps just a little citrus blossom. The flavors are dry and grainy, with just a bit of honey glaze and traces of weak floral hop bitterness. Light in body and fizzier than it should be, the palate is lacking as well. Not a very good wheat beer.

Golden straw color with quickly dissipating white head. Sweet aroma of faint citrus and cooked grain. Light and crisp and finishes clean with hints of orange. Pleasant but not all that memorable.

Bottle from the Utah State Wine Store. Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium white head. The aroma is apricots, some wheat as well. The flavor is like a fruity hefe; sweet apricots fruity flavors with a dry background of wheat and some spices. Easygoing and very quaffable.
