Commercial Description:
Malted wheat and the choicest American barley are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile. It's especially good with a slice of lemon!

Pours a fairly cloudy light gold with a 2 finger foamy bright white head that slowly fades to a thick skim. Aroma has citrus hops, wheat, lemon, just a hint of banana and yeast. Flavor is fairly hoppy for a wheat, citrus and pine hops, wheat malt, and some yeast spice. Finish is all orange zest and spicy yeast. Pretty good for the style. Not usually a big fan of the wheats.

Pours a slightly cloudy yellow with a generous white head that almost disappears completely. Aroma is orange peel, hops, and wheat. Taste is a little over carbonated and watery with a bit of lemon. Aftertaste is cardboard.

Pours a cloudy, dark golden orange color with a thin foamy off-white head. Aroma is hoppy with hints of citrus fruit peel and banana. Tastes like a bitter, hoppy wheat beer with hints of citus fruit, lemon zest, cloves, and bananas. Slightly sour finish.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with low head. Smells cirusy and spicy. Tastes wheaty, grainy, and spicy. Hints of clove, ginger, and coriander. Nice mellow aftertaste. This is the first wheat beer i really liked and turned me on to try others. Very good.

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance: murky amber with greenish tint , large frothy-creamy top 3+
Nose: Sweet malts with slight sourness , light refreshing saaz like hop feel , bit raw on sides. 6+
Flavor/Palate : Medium full bodied for a wheat with solid hop character to it. More of bitter wheat ale. Light fruity, green finish. Clean, straight and drinkable brew.14-/20

Bottle. Poured pale gold with fast dissipating white head. Aroma of fresh bread. Wheaty flavour, rather mild, and simple. Dried fruit notes in the finish.

Bottle: Poured a golden yellow with a thin white head. The aroma was citrus, wheat, and sweet malts. The flavor was very smooth, maybe a bit too sweet. Subtle hops, citrus, and sugary malts are present. Overall, a very good tasting beer, but average for its style.

There is something very enjoyable about this beer. Pours with noticeable particulate coudiness, which I like. Clear color but not in a filtery-type way. Fresh aroma of hops, flour, and very bright - but subtle - citrus. Flavors of the above which have married in a very nice way. Quite refreshing.
