| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 6, 2008 Pours with a large, creamy, off-white heead covering a cloudy orange-gold body. Great lacing, and good retention. Aroma has wood, lemon, and some funky yeast. Taste is sweet and yeasty. Some yeast as well. I can’t find anything wrong with it, but it is kind of boring. Dry, fizzy mouthfeel and a bit acidic in the finish. Juelze (910), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 6, 2008 Pours a hazy color with white foamy head. Aroma is light spice, apple, citrus and yeast esters. Taste is fruity and satisfying but I’m miss a certain yeast quality you find in a really good saison. Still, it’s good and very drinkable. rudolf (1782), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 6, 2008 Body is glowing gold, lots of pretty rising carbonation. Big puffy white head with nice lacing. Nose is yeasty lemon & clay, some pepperiness, a bit of apple skin, some warmer fruits too - peach, apricot. Flavor is alot of yeasty fruit, nice dryness resulting from the pepperiness. Unrefined fruit zest bitterness. Lacks some sort of depth - I think the problem is that the spice is too forward and there is no malt to balance it. Petrucci914 (590), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Pours a straw golden color with a large foamy white head. Aroma is spicy, with some clove and belgian yeast. Taste is spicy, yeasty, and a bit of citrus. Reminds me a lot of a Tripel than a Saison. It lacks some of the funkiness that is common in a Saison. Decent but I don’t feel it defines the style well enough. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Hazy golden body with a thick and dense head. The aroma is earthy with some mushrooms and flowers. Nice and sweet. The taste has some sweet carrots and apples. A fair amount of cinnamon spice goes into this one. It’s like chewing into the crust of a nice sweet pumpkin bread. Lots of carbonation. This is an enjoyable experince. JCB (1785), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 3, 2008 375ml of Silver Jubilee from Whole Foods, Raleigh. A light hazy yellow with a billowy Duvel-style head. This one had all kinds of peppery notes in the nose, with just a hint of funk. It tasted exceedingly dry, almost champagne-like, with a bit of tartness and yeastiness in the middle. Not overly complex to me, or necessarily even top-drawer. But certainly enjoyable and worth sampling again. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 2, 2008 What a delight! This beer poured a golden copper body with a small yet fluffy white head. Nutty, yeasty, floral nose. Complex esters of tropical fruits and spices. Great PNW hops presence. Another fine example of an American brewery doing Belgian-style.
