Pours dark brown with a nice lacing beige head. Bet it would look and be great out of a nitro tap. Dry chocolate and coffee malt flavor. Hoppy bitterness. Good dry stout.

To friends I call this Old Rasputin Light, it is far more independent than that, but I love the beer so I suppose I find myself inflating it in reputation to "sell" it. Pours with a deep black color, that shows some ruby tint when held up to direct light. Plenty of lace and good head retention. The aroma is decidedly fruity and nutty. The flavor is slightly more complex with some Molasses and some strong coffee along with nice nutty compliments. Just a very nice stout.

Poured a dark brown with a small light brown head. Roasted coffee aroma. Flavor was a mixture of chocolate and roasted coffee.

Roasted malts with mild coffee. Extremely watery for a stout. Soft carbonation and very week flavor.

Bottle. Creamy tan head. Strong sweet malt aroma, a little roasty. Initally sweet, hint of roastiness, then very chocolatey, some berry like flavors. Would almost call it a porter. Overall a reasonable and drinkable stout/porter.

Tasty stout, real nice and straightforward. Jet black pour with a lasting 3/4" thick khaki colored head and heavy lacing, this looks marvelous. Roasted malty aroma with hints of coffee and sweet milk chocolate. Malty body and very easy to put down. Lively with a moderately bitter aftertaste. Toasted malt with nut and chocolate flavors. A touch of molasses and black licorice. Nicely played sirs.

black. little head to speak of. smells of a bit of coffee. flavors are kind of everywhere, not to well balanced to my pallet. Dry obviously, but also roasted malts, and bitter finish, i like all the flavors individually, but together, they just arent working properly in this one....not a drain pour, just not something i will be having again....

Very very black. Very very chocolatey. Fairly decent background of hops. Medium body, decent finish. Drinkable.
