Poured a big head which diminished in size but remained for a long while. Jet black and beautiful to the eye. Roasted chocolately smell. Not an overwhelming taste but all the usual suspects in a stout are there: chocolate and malts. The best of the 3 stouts I’m tasting this session, but nothing I will rush out to buy again. I’d take it if you gave to me in a heartbeat though.

Black-brown, oily pour, firm brown head with generous lacing. Rich coffee, cocoa, and roast. Creamy mouthfeel, richly malty, long finish that is moderately bitter and dry. Superb!

Decent effort. Pours a very deep, dark brown with tan head that fades fast. Aroma is chocolate roast with hints of coffee. Taste is chocolate and butter, very smooth finish. Would drink again.

Blackish pour with a med-lg tannish head. Aroma is roasty with some dark chocolate. Flavor is chocolatey with some roasted coffee. A tad buttery. Not a bad dry stout, but this one always seems bland to me.

Poured a very deep brown almost black color with a dark tan head. The head went down fairly quickly to just a wisp of a film. There was a mild chocolate aroma. The flavor was a bit smokey and later a sense of a light chocolate flavor in the dry clean finish.

bottle poured into a snifter has a transparent brown ruby in color and a thin layer of tan head. aroma has cocoa, dark malt, light roasted coffee, some sweetness, and toffee. there is something interesting in the nose that may be hops. roasted malt body with some coffee and caramel. some sweetness is present and it finishes going dry with carbonation on your tongue and light biting bitters. little touch of chocolate pops in from time to time. argument could be made it is a little thin but it is a dry stout and i am partial to liking there beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown-black colour with a beige head. Roasted malts, some tar and a hint of perfume (which is difficult to define). Flavour is a hint of sweetness followed by roasted and perfumy notes. The finish is dry and bitter with laods of coffee beans.

Served cold from a bottle. The aroma is a delicious blend of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. It pours a deep, oily black with a nice-sized tan head. It is remarkably smooth and easy to drink, the flavors are mostly roasted malts and coffee. it has a great mouth feel and leaves no discernible aftertaste. a fantastic stout.
