Fairly pedestrian Stout. Chocolate flavor - malty and not m any hops. NC makes a better stout with Rasputin.

Man. I had been used to some weak stouts without much personality. But this one is rich and deep with heavy chocolate tones that are firm, but not so strong that you are tasting a cocoa bean in your mouth. There is also a firm roasted coffee taste in your mouth that stays there as well. This stout has the most personality than any other I have had in a very long time. Most of those others I would pass on in the future, but this one I’d stick with for a while.

Seems like a middle-of-the-road stout: not too sweet, not too dry. Very drinkable. I’d have this again.

Pours black with a fluffy mocha head. Nice roasty malty aroma with some dark chocolate and coffee. Taste is of chocolate, coffee, and some molasses. Pretty good, very drinkable.

Darkly roasted, burnt malt aroma. A dash of salt and pepper as well. A moderate amount of chocolate and fresh coffee in the flavor. Some fruity hoppiness lingers at the end. Dry, roasted finish. My burps taste good so thats a good sign! Overall, nice.

Pours almost black w/ a full, creamy froth. Superb hangtime receding to a full canopy and sticky, clinging lace. Aromas of chocolate and Belgian granite. Full nectar w/ ample creamy residual effers. Possesses a bright roast component w/ mild dark malts. Very well balanced is my first thought. Nunces that show well are the cocoa and roasted coffee bean. The finish is bittered nicely and is dry. Overall: not too rich, very drinkable. A refined style.
