Nose of roasted malts and chocolate. Slightly bitter which adds to its character. Very nice and smooth mouthfeel. While there are stouts with more flavor, more body, and so on, I can’t think of one more drinkable.

Yum, nice malt flavors break right out of the glass: roasted malts, chocolate malts and a pinch of black patent burnt malts. Some lacing though. Aroma is fairly light, mostly a burnt and roasted maltiness with a light anise and chalk accent. Flavor is roasted and burnt malt with a good bit of astringency. Finishes dry and moderately bitter with some coffee and chalkiness. Mouthfeel was lighter bodied with a fairly watery texture. Carbonation is active and fizzy. Overall, nothing exciting going on here, move along people.
