Pretty good stout, here. They did an excellent job of producing a stout that was distinctly different than their flagship beer, but still delicious. Nice roasty flavor, but a thinner mouthfeel, almost porter-like.

Bottle, Sept 2006. Dark brown color, with a slight hint of red. Nice color. Head was a nice light brown. A nice roasted and sweet smell. Taste was a little sweet; main tastes were nutty and light chocolate. Bitter end, but not too much. Overall an average stout.

Bottle. Dark brown color with tan head that laced the glass. Roasty aroma with hints of milk chocolate. Flavor is similar, slightly sweet on the tongue. Full bodied. A solid stout.

Dark with a tan head. Not very malty. Sort of dry and flat throughout. Some malt flavors but not with much else. Straightforward and clean.

A pretty typical stout. I have noticed that North Coast Brewing Co. is usually not typical about anything. A couple of their brews will slap the shit out of you (Old Stock Ale - Old Rasputin). This is a little more tame. Typical but good.

Pours with dark brown nearly black with a big light brown head. Smells of a sweet coffee. Taste is a roasted nutty flavor with some bitterness at the end.
