12 oz bottle (left in bottle while drinknig). Aroma wasn’t very intense but the flavor was great-- intense roasted malt, hops and some roasted coffee as well. Not my favorite but I would definately buy this one again.

Pours an opaque black with a quarter-inch dark tan head. Roasted malt in the nose, coffee. Flavor is very dry: roasted barley, coffee with a very smoky bitterness at the end. An enjoyable stout.

11/05 Hopleaf-10.5oz pour. Nitro pour. Black with 1.5 finger cream/khaki colored head. Aroma is buttermilk, coffee, and sweet dark roasted malt. Mouthfeel is full, but it seems gassy full instead of malty full. Taste is buttermilk, coffee, light milk chocolate, light dark roasted malts-rather unimpressive. Not bad, but certainly nothing special.

Bottle. The stout poured cola black and settled with a nice large dark tan head. The aroma was malt and hops. Flavor was hoppy with a bitter malty aftertaste. As a rule, I prefer sweet stouts. However, I woulld drink this again and might even choose it over Guiness if those were the only two stouts on tap.
