12 oz. bottle Aroma: Roasted malts and chocolate with berry underneath. A sugary sweet scent. Appearance: A truly beautiful milk chocolate brown with red tinges in color with a head of light beige bubbles that laced and sustained nicely throughout the glass. I did not think this would be the case after the pour as there was not much head present but I was presently surprised by the final result. There was a small amount of sediment present that floated and settled but it was not enough to consider as much of a downgrade. Flavor: Started lightly sweet chocolate and caramel with the roasted malts mingling nicely. Palate: Medium bodied mouthfeel that finished mildly hoppy and slightly dry that made it a little bitter at the end but pleasant. Overall: Another nice stout offering from this brewery. No complaints here and definitely worth enjoying again.

A nice stout, but only that. Poured dark brown-reddish with a tan head on top. The aroma was more coffee than chocolate, but both were present. The flavor started out coffee but turned to a nice choclate touch in the finish, especially as it warmed. There was good old west coast hopping (cascades?), but it was pleasant and appealing and not overdone. Nicely balanced for a stout and the mouthfeel was moderate and not overdone.

Bottle. Dark reddish brown color with thick creamy head. Sweetish aroma with roast barley, berries, coffee, smoke and tar. Also the flavor is sweetish with roast barley and tar-like smokiness. Mild and soft finish with roast barley. Not dry and falls short on roastedness to be a stout, but anyway very tasty.

From bottle. Dark Pour with ruby highlights. Beautiful 1-inch thick tan, fluffy head. Nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, barley, and chocolate. Flavor of chocolate with some sweetness from caramel, and alot of bitterness from the roasted barley. Fruity notes in the aftertaste, but I can’t pin down the flavor. I had to have this with Tillamook Mild Cheddar to cut through the bitterness. Thick, chewy mouthfeel. Full bodied.

Pours dark with offwhite head. Aroma is of roasted malt and nice hops. Thin and a little watered down, but great flavor. Nice smooth beer. Shows off the roasty malts.

12 oz Bottle-pours a dark brown color w/a tan head-almost looks like a root beer! Kind of hoppy for a stout, has the typical stout roasted aroma & flavor. Long finish. Somewhat Bittersweet.

Aroma slightly sweet and roasty, bitter coffee, with good, dry hops showing up late in the sniff. Pour is very soda-like. Lots of levels of roast in the mouth, very dry and refreshing.
