Roasted malts dominate the profile of this beer. In the nose, and as well as flavor the roasted barley is very evident. Light malt sweetness balances the sharpness of the roasted malts with a light hop bitterness . Color is more like a porter in my opinion, but with ruby highlights a very nice color. A very drinkablt stout.

On tap at the Map Room, Chicago: Pitch black color with a nice fluffy tan head. Nice milk chocolate and roasted malt nose. Very sour milky taste - which I found to much for my liking, also coffee beans taste.

Opaque brown color, nitro head. Sour milk in the body, light chocolate. Roasted malt tastes too, with a tobacco end. Lingering coffee bitter. Meidum body. Smooth and reserved.

Very decent appearance. Dark brown color with tan head. The flavor is roasted malt, dark chocolate, and cherry with some well done coffee, not quite burnt. That sour cherry, acidic mouthfeel/flavor always hits me wrong with stouts of any kind. Very dry on the finish.

A roasty and milk chocolate aroma. The appearance is pitch black with a moderate tan head. The flavor is very dry but also hint of some sour grapes among the big coffee flavors. A decent body on this one. The finish is somewhat bitter with more sour hints. A good dry stout.
