In the nose, and as well as flavor the roasted barley is very evident. Light malt sweetness balances the sharpness of the roasted malts with a light hop bitterness . Color is more like a porter in my opinion, but with ruby highlights a very nice color. A very drinkablt stout. Gmoney (258), ManchVegas, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 18, 2006 Very decent appearance. Dark brown color with tan head. The flavor is roasted malt, dark chocolate, and cherry with some well done coffee, not quite burnt. That sour cherry, acidic mouthfeel/flavor always hits me wrong with stouts of any kind. Very dry on the finish. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 16, 2006 A roasty and milk chocolate aroma. The appearance is pitch black with a moderate tan head. The flavor is very dry but also hint of some sour grapes among the big coffee flavors. A decent body on this one. The finish is somewhat bitter with more sour hints. A good dry stout.
